Partners | The Fishing School

The Fishing School currently partners with DC Public Schools.

Our current DCPS sites are:

TFS leadership developed a partnership with the University of the District of Columbia in which students majoring in education and other social science fields can earn their fieldwork credit, a part-time salary, and gain experience within the field while serving as lead afterschool instructors for The Fishing School. Through this partnership, we hope to build a pipeline that supplies a steady flow of trained professionals while providing university students with much-needed hands-on experience in their fields.

The Fishing School also leverages corporate and community partners—such as Northrop Grumman, KPMG, Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Deloitte, Wells Fargo, Kearney & Company, and the Metropolitan Police Department—to support programmatic elements, assist with school-wide goals and projects, provide workplace exposure and field trips, and provide donated supplies for students.

Corporate partners, community organizations, and DCPS collaborate with our staff to ensure a seamless educational curriculum and alignment with our programmatic priorities based on formal agreements. With their commitment, our youth gain the skills required to become responsible stewards of their own futures, become productive members of their communities, and achieve scholastic growth.
