
Homework assistance is offered at least four days per week, for at least half an hour each day. During this time, students are required to start their homework. if time remains at the end of the day, students are encourage to continue their homework
TFS’s new curriculum includes read aloud and shared reading sessions using culturally responsive texts aligned with daytime standards and life skills themes. This addition aims to develop language skills, reinforce reading comprehension, and foster a love for learning.
We use the Historically Black College and Universities as a foundation to expose our elementary students to college and various aspects of the college going process. This new HBCU element is a 45 minute bi-weekly college exploration component that alternates with the current Life Skills lessons.
